What is Mom2Mom?

Mom2Mom is a ministry of Cherrydale Baptist Church set up to serve the mothers of young children. Mom2Mom provides a morning just for moms to enjoy a delicious breakfast, an inspiring speaker, the fellowship of small groups, and the fun of a simple craft—all while their children are lovingly and competently cared for in our child care program.

Mission Statement

To reach, serve, and support mothers, building relationships and equipping moms to be Christ-like examples to their children, spouses, and community.

When: First and Third Fridays of each month (mid-September through May) (For variations in the dates please see the listed schedule to the left).

Time: 9:45 a.m.–11:45 a.m.
Cost: An $8 fee is charged per meeting to cover expenses. However, this meeting fee is waived for first time visitors.

How to Register

Registration is necessary before each meeting, even if you don’t bring children. To register, e-mail Mom2Mom.Arlington@gmail.com Monday or Tuesday prior to the meeting date. Include your name and the names and ages of your children who will be attending. Babies older than 5 months should be registered for the nursery. If you do not have e-mail access, call Mom2Mom Registration at 703/243-3265 and leave a message with the registration information. In the event that you have registered for a meeting and are unable to attend, please call Mom2Mom Registration (703/243-3265) with your cancellation so that we can plan accordingly for childcare, crafts, food, and seating arrangements. Due to limited space in our childcare program, priority is given to those who have registered.

Payment

An $8 fee is charged per meeting to cover expenses. (This meeting fee is waived for first-time visitors.) Please make checks payable to Cherrydale Baptist Church. If paying by cash, please bring small bills so we can make change easier.

Enriching Speakers

The speaker topics are as varied as the various facets of being a woman, wife and mother. Our goal is to provide enriching and well-founded speakers throughout the year. Upcoming Speakers:

Tasty Brunch

Each meeting begins with an assortment of delicious foods. The responsibility for providing food is shared, each table takes a turn providing for the group. Expressing Our Creativity

Ever feel as if you can never finish what you’ve started? Well, now you can walk away with a finished product! At several meetings, moms get to be creative and work on a simple craft to take home.

Meeting Schedule

Mom2Mom meets throughout the school year, from September through May, two Fridays a month (usually the 1st and 3rd Fridays). The two hour period (9:45 a.m.–11:45 a.m.) gives us welcome respite from mothering and affords lots of time to get to know other moms, learn from wonderful speakers, enjoy an uninterrupted breakfast and even stretch our creative imaginations.
