Our Vision

Go in the Holy Spirit’s Power

 
but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.—Acts 1:8
 
The Scriptures make clear that God’s purpose is to reveal His glory to all peoples*. (Genesis 12:3; Psalm 67; Revelation 7:9)
God calls us to join Him in this by…
  1. Sharing the gospel through relationships with those around us.
    • We seek to remove barriers to the gospel by creating environments that welcome all people. We go outside our comfort zone to share the gospel and love everyone in our path the way Jesus does. (Acts 1:8; Matthew 5:16; 1 Corinthians 9:19-27; 1 Peter 3:15; 2 Timothy 4:5)
  2. Cultivating a kingdom mindset as we serve people in the name of Christ.
    • We seek to advance the kingdom of God in our community and around the world. Other Christ-honoring churches are not our competition but our completion. (Acts 1:8; Matthew 16:18; Acts 15; Romans 16)
    • We partner by networking with other Christ-honoring churches and serving the servants of the community through our prayers, resources and volunteers. We will use our unique callings to advance the kingdom of God. (Jeremiah 29:7; Matthew 5:16; Matthew 25:31-46; Luke 10:30-37; Galatians 2:10; James 1:27; 1 Timothy 6:17-19).
  3. Sending and supporting laborers to fulfill the Great Commission among all peoples.
    • We send and support laborers to all peoples around the world, especially those who have never heard of Christ. God calls us to focus outward, to cross boundaries in order to go to people on their own turf. We are commanded to make Disciples of Christ not just record decisions for Christ. (Acts 1:8; Acts 13:1-3; Matthew 28:19-20; Romans 9:1-3; 2 Thessalonians 3:1).
  4. Reproducing through planting churches locally and globally.
    • We will plant new churches and/or establish fully functioning Biblical communities through the metro area and around the world. (Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 13:1-3, 15:41, 16:5)
