Cherrydale Baptist Church [+] Spreading a passion to love God and people above all else

LightSwitch is a ministry of Cherrydale Baptist Church that is designed to meet the needs and interests of students in 9th through 12th grade. Our vision is to ignite students to discover God’s purpose for their lives and fulfill it to the extreme!

LightSwitch meets on Wednesday nights from 7:15-9:30 pm in the sanctuary at Cherrydale. The Switch offers something for everybody: live worship, relevant teaching, small discussion groups, high paced games/recreation, drama, and students just like you! We also meet on Sunday mornings at 11:30 on the lower level of Cherrydale. These are groups that meet for teaching and getting a better handle on who God is and what He wants to do in our lives.

Every month, we put on high quality events. Past events have included things like: game night, ice skating, laser tag, paintball, prayer meetings, and video game tournaments. We do three major retreats a year: a weekend at Ocean City, Maryland, winter ski retreats to Seven Springs Resort in Pennsylvania, and a weeklong summer retreat. In addition, we give students the opportunity to serve through local service projects and mission trips.
