Cherrydale Baptist Church [+] Spreading a passion to love God and people above all else

Mom2Mom is a joint ministry of Cherrydale Baptist Church and Grace Community Church set up to serve the mothers of young children. Mom2Mom provides a morning just for moms to enjoy a delicious breakfast, an inspiring speaker, the fellowship of small groups, and the fun of a simple craft—all while their children are lovingly and competently cared for in our child care program.

 

When: First and Third Fridays of each month (mid-September through May) (For variations in the dates please see the listed schedule to the right).
Time: 9:45 a.m.–11:45 a.m.
Cost: A $7 fee is charged per meeting to cover expenses. However, this meeting fee is waived for first time visitors.

Registration is required to attend Mom2Mom meetings so that we are prepared to care for your children and for you! You may register with mom2mom_r@hotmail.com the Monday or Tuesday prior to the meeting date. If you do not have email access, please call Keri Barta, 703/243-1626 on Monday or Tuesday prior to each Friday meeting date to ensure space for the child(ren) in the child care program. Please note that registration for each meeting is required even if you have made a prepayment for the meetings. This is necessary so that we can plan accordingly for childcare, crafts, food, and seating arrangements. In the event that our child care quota is full, moms will then be put on a waiting list for that week’s meeting. Download a registration form.

 

A $7 fee is charged per meeting to cover expenses. Please make checks payable to Mom2Mom. If paying by cash, plese bring small bills so we can make change easier. We also offer the option of paying for half the year in advance ($56 for eight meetings) and we will refund the fees for any meeting(s) that you miss. Please download a pre-pay form  if you wish to use this option. This year, mothers attending Mom2Mom have the option to pre-pay for half the year's meetings with their credit cards vis PayPal. Those moms who chose to use PayPal will pay $57.92 ($56 for eight meetings plus a $1.92 PayPal transaction fee.). To use this option please see below.

 

 

The speaker topics are as varied as the various facets of being a woman, wife and mother. Our goal is to provide enriching and well-founded speakers throughout the year.

Ever feel as if you can never finish what you’ve started? Well, now you can walk away with a finished product! At several meetings, moms get to be creative and work on a simple craft to take home.

Mom2Mom meets throughout the school year, from September through May, two Fridays a month (usually the 1st and 3rd Fridays). The two hour period (9:45 a.m.–11:45 a.m.) gives us welcome respite from mothering and affords lots of time to get to know other moms, learn from wonderful speakers, enjoy an uninterrupted breakfast and even stretch our creative imaginations.
