To love God and people above all else

Regularly Scheduled Program

We meet every Sunday morning at 11:00 am for a variety of Sunday class learning experiences

Junior High Students
Meet in Rooms 122, down the hall behind the Library. Our Junior High program is lead by Dave DeForest, who is a 30-year veteran of junior high ministry. Their primary focus is Old and New Testament survey, and introduction to Bible doctrine. The class meets all together to start with and then it divides into grade and gender based study groups. Every five or six weeks the class stays in one big group for “The Contest”, a game show style Bible facts contest reviewing what they have learned.
High School Students
Meet in The Well (Room 110). We equip high school students with tools to make their faith real in life and ministry contexts. We do this with a variety of Bible book and topical studies. We also change up our meeting format by sometimes breaking into gender or age based smaller groups, as well as by sometimes offering an elective class in addition to the regular class.

Here at Cherrydale, our teen program is designed around a solid biblical discipleship strategy. We do well with our teacher/student and mentor/mentee relationship environments. To take discipleship to the next level we need to multiply disciple makers. This workshop will help us to advance beyond top down learning to side-by-side disciple making. We are inviting parents and adult leaders to dive in, figure out how to do this and invite our young people to the table. Yes, this means teens are invited to the class as well.

4Chair Discipling trains parents, adult leaders and young people in how to develop a personal disciple making strategy and sets them up to start making disciples together. Two roadblocks often prevent us from being better disciple makers: feelings that we are unworthy and feelings that we are inadequate. This class addresses those feelings head on and then helps us develop personal disciple making strategy that is sustainable for a lifetime. The core of this class is observing how Jesus made disciples. Of course people of all ages are welcome to attend.
