Foster & Adoptive Family Support Group
The Foster & Adoptive Family Support Group is an outreach of Cherrydale Baptist Church’s Orphan Care Ministry (OCM). It offers practical, emotional, spiritual, and educational support to existing and considering adoptive and foster families at Cherrydale and in the surrounding Northern Virginia community.
We meet once a month through the school year on Sundays from 11:00-12:15pm. Meetings are held in Room 120A and child care is provided through the church in the form of Sunday Classes. We meet to share our stories, our successes, and challenges so that we can pray for each other and provide encouragement.
Anyone who is currently an adoptive or foster family as well as those who are interested in learning more about fostering and adopting is welcome to join us! We simply ask that you keep confidential any personal information shared during our meeting times.
