Definitely the most impactful childhood memory (though it was neither funny nor fond), was disobeying my father and driving our riding lawnmower. It ended with me crashing through a cabinet he had spent the previous three weeks making, and plowing to a stop in the back wall of the garage . . . and then having the next five hours to think about him coming home from work.
