3) Children’s Ministry Safety Training, Oct 22, 12:30 pm
Join us for lunch and an overview of all the safety procedures we have in place to keep children safe when they are in our care. Among other things, we’ll highlight our shelter in place and evacuation policies. Click here to sign up and get more information.
4) Cherrydale Kids Prayer Team
We have assembled a group of eight members from Cherrydale who are committed to praying for our children on a weekly basis. They’ll pray for each child based on their age,* and over the course of a ministry year, children will be specifically prayed for at least 4 times. All requests will be kept confidential.
Each week, parents of a one age group* will receive an email asking for prayer requests. These requests will then be forwarded to the Cherrydale Kids Prayer Team, and after they’ve prayed over the children, they’ll send a post card to each child with an encouraging note.
We’ll have this up and running in the next couple of weeks! Also, each week the Children’s Ministry team meets for a time of prayer and we’d love to pray for your child of any age at any point throughout the year. Email Kelli any requests.
*We’ll start with the nursery and work our way up throughout the year. The first week, we’ll pray for the babies, 2nd week, 2 year olds … 10th week, 5th graders, 11th week, 6th graders. Once we’ve prayed through all the ages, we’ll start over again with the babies.
5) Family Missions Night
On Oct 11, we’ll have a Family Missions Night as part of our Global Missions Conference for preschoolers–6th grade. Missionaries who are supported by Cherrydale will come and share how they spread the gospel to people in other parts of the world. Click here to sign up.
6) Family Fall Festival
On Saturday, Nov 4, we’ll have a Family Fall Festival with lots of fun games and activities for ages two through 6th graders. All are welcome to attend and this would be a great opportunity to invite your friends and neighbors to Cherrydale.
