On a beautiful October Saturday, Cherrydalers and local refugees shared in fall fun at Hartland Orchard and Farm in Markham, Virginia. Under blue skies and sunshine, they wandered the orchard, picking apples and enjoying the wonderful scenery. Later, a tractor pulled them along on a hay ride to a pumpkin patch (a real one!), with pumpkins for the picking.
Other highlights included a pig race (they were all winners!), fun on a huge jumping pillow, and music to enjoy from a live band. The kids also had the chance to feed some friendly cows. After lunch, everyone piled back in the bus for a nice rest on the ride home after such a busy day!
The refugees that participated hailed from Afghanistan and Iraq. Through the efforts of Cherrydalers that day, these Muslims saw and experienced the love of Christ. Thank you all for your prayers, support, and participation. Please pray for our new friends, that we will see them again in our homes, and here at Cherrydale one day soon!
