If I think back to about two years ago…I was surrounded by boxes and wondering WHY God was moving mountains for us to arrive here on July 14. At the time it felt as though perhaps that date would have a special meaning, but I had no idea what it could be. I mean, miracle after miracle kept the pace of this transition at full speed.
God made it happen. In two months our home was sold and pretty much everything was gone with the exception of some boxes. We made it to Mexico on July 14, Melinda’s 7th birthday.
This blog has been filled with many stories of ‘the girls.’ They arrived shortly before we did and instantly stole our hearts.
You have joined us in praying for them to have permanency through family. I am writing tonight to let you know that your prayers are about to be answered.
And God’s timing is nothing less than miraculous.
Their father has worked hard, met all the requirements, and now has custody! The girls are staying here until they move to live with him at the end of June or beginning of July.
We will be here and will visit them on July 14 to celebrate Melinda’s 9th birthday. We will be departing shortly after that.
So if you take a moment to just consider the big picture and how incredible it is that we arrived around the same time and are departing around the same time…you may begin to see one of God’s purposes for us here.
And this purpose leaves me in awe, friends. I mean, we serve a God who can love someone SO much that he would move the hearts of a family of four so that He could send them to an entirely different country. And why?
For one.
Oh, how our Heavenly Father loves that He would send His only son to die to make a way for salvation. And why?
For one.
