Let’s Gather Together This Sunday

Cherrydale family, please make it a priority to come to church this coming Sunday, May 26.

We are at a critical time in the life of our church family, and I am eager to share an important message with you that day. I will be preaching from God’s Word, but will also include information on behalf of the Elders regarding Pastor Tom Oostdyk—our candidate for Lead Pastor—and the search process itself. I really want you to hear what I have to say in person and be able to pray together with the church family.

During our Members Gathering last Sunday night we reviewed the lead pastor search process and gave you the opportunity to ask questions and present your concerns. I want to assure you that each of these are being addressed, and I will have some information to share that I believe will encourage you.

You will be receiving a packet of information this coming Sunday, and I and our Elders will be available to address any questions you may have. Going forward you will be kept up to date step-by-step.

Our objective during this Phase Three of our lead pastor search process is for you to be well-informed and engaged with Pastor Tom Oostdyk. We have three types of opportunities for you to hear his heart and vision for Cherrydale: Sunday sermons, question and answer sessions, and engagement in smaller settings. In addition, we want to provide a setting in which we will have maximum participation of our members when you vote on Tom.

I want you to know that I am joyful, confident in Christ, and counting on you to join us in praying, staying on mission, and preserving the beautiful unity we have in Christ.

Jesus is building His church and we have the awesome joy of joining Him in His work!
