Dear Cherrydale Family,
It is with grateful hearts that the Elder Council recommends to Cherrydale Baptist Church Juan David Prettel as the Biblical Community Pastor Candidate. We are eager for you to get to know Juan David and his family at the upcoming Candidate Weekend (April 16-18).
As the Elders evaluated Juan David, we were profoundly encouraged by his devotion to Christ, shepherd’s heart, compelling vision for biblical community, and passion for the lost. We believe his joining the church family as a pastor will be a great blessing to Cherrydale!

As we enter phase three of our pastoral search process, it is your turn to take the lead by engaging in the following:
- Continue to pray
- Review the Biblical Community Pastor Candidate Information Packet
- Ask questions about Juan David and the search process to the Elders Council by emailing [email protected]
- Get to know Juan David, his wife Sarah, and four children during the Candidate Weekend. Participate in as much as you can!
- Attend the Special Members Zoom Meeting on April 25 at 7:30 pm for final questions and a vote on whether to affirm Juan David Prettel as Cherrydale’s Biblical Community Pastor.
