November 18, 2022 Kindred Speakers: Kelsie Johnson

On the work of DC127:

DC127 focuses on protecting existing family units by serving and empowering parents or other family caregivers. They reach family units in the District of Columbia who are isolated, overwhelmed, and under-resourced. Kelsie Johnson is responsible for the overall direction and leadership of the DC127 Programs. She graduated from the University of Dayton with a bachelor’s in business administration. She brings nine years of experience managing people, projects, and resources to DC127.

Prior to DC127, Kelsie has held Director roles coming alongside survivors of sex trafficking, abuse, addiction and trauma. The work of DC127 allows Kelsie to be a part of something bigger than herself and continue to come alongside families in DC, with the focus on empowerment, stability, preservation and community. She manages family support coordinators, volunteers and church advocates to execute the three core programs.
