Our goal is to bring teens’ hearts in sync with God’s heart for the world. Our missions discipleship pathway starts locally (serving others at Cherrydale, serving in local outreach ministries, and serving in regional outreach ministries) and leads to serving in cross-cultural out-of-country experiences.
With each of our trips, teens are met where they are spiritually and encouraged to deepen their commitment as a follower of Jesus.
Ecuador Trip | Summer 2021
Start praying! We’d love for your teen to join us on our 7th Youth Ministry trip to Macas, Ecuador! The main objective of the trip is to serve God and His people in Macas by helping to run an English as a Second Language (ESL) day camp, to work in the afternoons on school maintenance projects, and to engage in various community activities. During this trip, teens learn about God’s heart for the world and His desire for them to align their hearts with His. This trip is designed for those entering 9th–12th grades in fall 2021. Due to COVID-19, we will decide by April 2021 whether this trip is feasible. Stay tuned for dates and more information.
U.S. Service Trip | Summer 2022
This trip is designed for rising 8th–12th graders to develop a heart for serving the needy. Typical projects include serving the elderly, veterans, and disabled individuals by painting houses or building porches and wheelchair ramps. We plan these trips on the even years. More information coming soon!
Since 2012, our youth group has raised money to annually sponsor a child to attend the Emmanuel Christian School (ECS) in Macas, Ecuador. We’ve seen God’s blessings through this project not only to the children in Ecuador, but also to our teens, as it deepens their heart connection to our friends in Ecuador. To learn more about this sponsorship opportunity, contact Pastor Greg O’Dell at email@example.com.
