Focus Projects
It’s our joy, honor, and responsibility to oversee and care for all of our overseas workers. We currently devote our highest focus to approximately five projects:
Lesser Reached: Europe
This worker serving in Europe is part of a church planting team in a lesser reached part of a major urban city. She lovingly, tirelessly, and winsomely does outreach and evangelism among many internationals, especially Hindus and Sikhs.
It’s remarkable how much energy God has given her and how much favor He has given her with her local community. And she is an outstanding outreach team leader. Her ministries include:
- Leading a Young Life group of 100 kids, striving to reach 1,000 kids they know
- Coaching sports teams, enabling her to make new friends, bless her community, and share Jesus
- Building and leading a loving, motivated, hard-working staff team who does a variety of outreaches throughout most months of the year
The church plant is led by a team of elders, whose ambitions are to grow and strengthen their church plant and to continually plant more churches in lesser reached areas.
Unengaged, Unreached People Group: East Asia
This worker family is part of a small team of worker families, who are striving to make disciples and plant a church in a part of Asia, among an unreached people group, among whom there are no Christians, no church, and no Bible in a language they can understand.
In order to gain access, and to bless the local community, the workers raised hundreds of thousands of dollars, much of which came from their own savings, and launched a business to provide jobs and employ approximately sixty locals. It is planned to be a self-sustaining profitable business.
This business seeks to benefit the community because the local people group chronically struggles with 25 percent unemployment. 100 percent of the profits will be used to bless the people group through things like schools and hospitals. And 100 percent of the equity in the company will go to the people group or benefit the people group.
One of the great challenges is that the people group does not read or write. Their language is not even documented. So, the workers will create an alphabet, document the people group’s language, teach the people group to read and write, translate the Bible into the people group’s language, and teach and disciple the people in the whole Bible (Genesis to Revelation).
The workers are doing pre-evangelism now, and plan to begin doing evangelism in 2027 after they better understand the language and culture.
Unreached People Group: Middle East
Workers are learning local languages now, and evangelism and church planting will begin in 2027. More information to come.
