9 But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; 10 for you once were not a people, but now you are the people of God; you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.
Description
Peter calls the Sojourning church to action. We’ve been gathered by God out of the world for a purpose. We don’t fight. We don’t flee. We don’t falter. We’re faithful. Sojourning people make Him known! No matter the cost. Love demands risk. We who’ve experienced rescue—darkness to light—have a responsibility to those still in dark. We stand our ground and make the gracious acts of God known!
