Fran McNaught has been a member of Cherrydale Baptist Church since 1994 and previously served two terms as Financial Secretary and two as Missions Treasurer. She has coordinated the annual Cherrydale Missions Conference for the past five years. She retired from the Federal Government where she held the positions of Assistant Secretary of Labor, Chief of Staff to three Members of Congress (including the Chairman of the Foreign Operations Appropriations Subcommittee), and Vice President of the Millennium Challenge Corporation whose purpose is foreign aid with accountability.
Seeing the effectiveness of our Christian missionaries contrasted with the frequently ineffective US foreign aid efforts gave her a desire to work on behalf of those missionaries. She has seen the difference our US efforts make in a country where missionaries have been working and the leaders are now Christian. When not spending time with her three grandsons (John, James and Joseph Best), Fran enjoys playing duplicate bridge.
