Marriage Ministry

 
At Cherrydale we strive to provide the resources you need as a couple to become fully devoted followers of Christ together. We recognize that the institution of marriage is in great danger in our culture today, and we are here to help turn the tide. Please explore the opportunities below to encourage, strengthen and protect your marriage.
Marriage Classes
Pre-Marital Mentoring: Preferably six months prior to your wedding, an engaged couples meets with a pastor for the first two sessions. At the second meeting they are assigned a mentor couple. The mentoring couple then meets with them for an additional five sessions. The mentoring couple is available after the ceremony to support the couple as they begin their life together.
 
Marriage Mending: This mentoring is designed to help married couples biblically resolve issues and develop healthy ways of relating to one another. Couples are assigned a mentor couple after a recommendation from one of our pastors.
 
Pre-Engagement Mentoring: This mentoring is designed to help pre-engaged couples clarify and resolve issues and answer questions as they consider marriage.
 
Marriage Building Elective: A 10-week Sunday morning elective is offered in the Fall and Spring. Married couples are taught the biblical principles that will enable them to build a Christ-honoring marriage.
 
Marriage Seminar: A half-day marriage building event is offered yearly.
