Summer Events

Rising 6th graders – grads are welcome to join us for our Summer events, unless otherwise indicated! We’re so excited to soak up the Summer with newbies and veterans.

Middle School Events

Rising 6th-8th graders are invited to the following events:

  • June 13 – Summer Kickoff at the O’Dell’s
  • June 19 – Dodgeball Tournament at the Church
  • July 10 – Trampoline Park
  • August 1 – Slip & Slide at the O’Dell’s

High School Events

Rising 9th graders-grads are invited to the following events:

  • June 12 – Summer Kickoff at the O’Dell’s
  • July 3 – Dodgeball Tournament at the Church
  • July 17 – Ultimate Frisbee on the Mall
  • July 31 – Slip & Slide at the O’Dell’s

Merger Events

All rising 6th graders-grads are invited to the following events, unless otherwise indicated:

  • June 26 – Upton Hills Event (rising 7th graders – grads only)
  • July 27 – King’s Dominion Day Trip (rising 8th graders – grads only)
  • August 14 – Backyard Worship Night at the O’Dell’s
  • August 21 – Hangout Game Night at the Church

Bad Weather Policy

In the event of bad weather, outside summer events can be canceled, rescheduled, or moved back to the church. When we foresee potential bad weather, we will give instructions to parents regarding our plan in our weekly parent email. If there is an unpredicted summer-type weather change based on the hour-by-hour forecast, we will send an event status update at least an hour before the event starts time.

If your student is registered for the Youth Ministry at Cherrydale, you’ll automatically be subscribed to our mailing list. If you are not receiving emails, please register your student.
