Ministry Information

At Cherrydale Women’s Bible Study, we encourage each other to develop personal Bible study habits that start with our own investigation of Scripture; there’s something fresh about letting the Word and the Holy Spirit teach us during our personal time with the Lord. We pray that our community is a place of refreshment and spiritual sharpening in our journey to know and love God!

The September 2019-May 2020 study is now completed. Stay tuned for information about next year’s study. Please enjoy the audio teachings from this past year on our Women’s Bible Study blog below.

Our 2019-20 study was divided into two parts:

  1. 1 & 2 Peter (September 11–December 11, 2019) and
  2. Daniel (January 8–May 13, 2020)

The short messages in 1 & 2 Peter were a great encouragement to everyone needing to stand firm in their faith while living in difficult times. We learned from God’s Word how to be steadfast in our aim to follow Jesus Christ while wading through the influences of our changing culture: But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect. (1 Peter 3:15 NIV)

We pray that our study of Daniel has drawn us in to learn about, understand, and testify of the Most High God. Then he continued, “Do not be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day that you set your mind to gain understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to them”. (Daniel 10:12 NIV)

  • Format emphasizes smaller group gatherings: Each week we meet in discipleship groups to discuss insights from our personal study and to take time to pray for one another. Unlike the morning study, there is no large group teaching time on a typical week, but all of our groups meet together occasionally for special sessions.
  • Childcare is not provided, but meeting times correspond to our Wednesday evening kids and youth programs.
  • Registration and a nominal $15 supply fee is required.*
*A Circle account is required to register for a study. If you need an account, fill out this form and let us know that you’re interested in the Women’s Bible Study!
