It is both encouraging and motivating to remember that God is always working to fulfill His purposes and inviting us to join Him in His work (John 5:17; 2 Corinthians 5:20). What an honor to be part of God’s redemption and restoration team (Luke 19:10; Matthew 5:10)!
You will find fresh motivation and opportunities to join God in His work this coming Sunday, as we host our first Community Outreach Sunday. If you are a parent, join Kelli Dudley and me at 11:00 am in the Gym, to learn how to be better equipped to join God in His work with your children.
Last Sunday, we began a new sermon series on Jesus’ parables, so read ahead and bring a friend with you (bookmarks with Scripture schedule available at the Info Center or church entrance door racks).
I also mentioned last Sunday an excellent book on lamenting and grief: Dark Clouds, Deep Mercy by Mark Vroegop. This gospel-centered and biblically-saturated book will provide fresh insights for you on how to process your loss and pain wisely and how to move to a place of trusting God.
In addition, I mentioned the role of the Holy Spirit in our lives and want to remind you of the wonderful works the Holy Spirit is eager to do in our hearts. Review this list from my previous blog and yield to His power.
