Dear Cherrydale Family,
As we have shared with you in updates at recent Members Gatherings and on Sunday mornings, God has led us to re-begin Phase 1 of the search for the Missions & Outreach Pastor search. We are grateful for the work of the search team and the opportunity the Elder Council had earlier this year to conduct in-depth interviews with a final candidate. Ultimately, that candidate was not the right fit for Cherrydale.
The Elder Council has decided to reboot the pastoral search process with an eye for how the process can be made more efficient and streamlined. We have approached the existing search team to determine who would like to continue in the new search and invited new members to join the search team. In addition, more elders have joined the search team. We began this new search in April.
Please join us in praying:
- That God would speed this process and quickly guide us to the best person.
- For discernment as we consider new applications.
- For unity and perseverance as we deliberate the options the Lord has brought to us.
